Then whenever you add a new bottle to your collection, you can add a row to the table describing it.If you want to track visits to different vacation sites, you can make a table with fields for the Date Visited, Location, Description, and Attraction. As you visit the sites, you can add corresponding rows to your table.After you add rows to your tables, they will be:* Searchable * Sortable * Selectable Many apps are too specific to a subject, but General DB is flexible enough to handle many, many needs, such as: - Inventories- Customer info - Membership lists- Tracking Logs- Accounts - and many more ! No database knowledge is required to use this app, but you will pick some up as you go!Distribute databases to either General DB for the iPhone and iPad, or the free Private DB!For power users:General DB allows easy data entry into a full-fledged SQLite database. To do so, it enhances it with field types.The field types allowed are Text, Number, Date, Time, Duration, Location, Photo, and custom picker types. There are convenient buttons next to some fields for easier input.For administrators or IT manager, you can create a master database of reference information that you don't want your users to modify. - New Active Grid Button for visual navigation of your rows!- New expanded editing view to expedite data entry!- New table navigation using arrow and tab keys (see the Help for more info)!- Faster table loading performance- Easier to email your database or upload or download from Dropbox- Encoding option for importing files can be UTF-8, Windows CP1252, or MacRoman- Reorganized the App Preferences- Include the field names in export- Adding a row now immediately edits the first field in the row- Popovers stay open until the X button is pressed (or the CMD-D key is pressed)- Popovers open more quickly- You can now re-open the file chooser from inside the import popover- Some keyboard shortcuts had to be changed for consistency and to conform with OS X. Use the Tab and Shift-Tab keys to move between fields when the field popover is shown!- Bug fixesNOTE: It is wise to backup your databases before a software update, such as this one. To backup your databases, either use Time Machine, or manually copy the files in the folder that appears when clicking the menu Databases > Show Current Database in FinderBIG CHANGES: the arrow buttons in the toolbar have been replaced by using the arrow _keys_ on your keyboard. Press an arrow key, option-arrow key, or command-arrow key to navigate the rows in your table. See the Help in the App for a list of the keyboard shortcuts.Also, to improve performance and usability on MacBook Airs, only 10 fields and 50 rows are loaded at a time. You can change that back to 20 fields and 100 rows in the App Preferences if you have a faster system.
