Description:
Clockwise is a minimalist and easy-to-use status bar menu application that stays out of your way while triggering all sorts of actions and alerts.Clockwise enables you to schedule alerts in a very intuitive manner: you must specify the time or duration, specific days, weeks or even months. Clockwise also offers you the possibility to organize events in folders and filter events with powerful smart folders.Clockwise's core functionality resides on events and actions. For example, you can set an alarm clock so the mac wakes you up every day to your favorite tune - with a different wake time for weekends. Or you may want to open a website every week to check its latest contents. If you need to take pills for a week before lunch, want a picture of your room emailed to you every ten minutes, or simply want to think of the pizza when it is ready, Clockwise will remember and do it so you won't have to. You could even have Clockwise read a dictionnary out loud during your sleep!Features: - Easily access Clockwise on the menu bar - Experience a simple yet powerful interface - Add alarm, timer and shortcut-based events - Fully describe on which days an event can trigger - Add any number of actions to events - Organise events by folders - Filter events with smart-folders - Disable events temporarily - Start at login autommatically - Follow help pages that fully describe each feature - Enjoy full Retina display supportActions available for each event: - Text alert (speak the text and/or show an alert through Clockwise, Growl or your mac's own Notification Center) - Set volume & brightness levels - Flash screen - Play system sounds - Control iTunes playback - Open files, folders, apps and internet addresses - Run a shell script, AppleScript or Automator workflow - Sleep, logout, restart and shutdown your mac (using AppleScript files bundled with Clockwise) - Control the screensaver (using AppleScript files bundled with Clockwise) - Send an email, with optional screenshot and/or iSight picture as attachments - Save screenshots or iSight pictures to foldersYour mac must not be sleeping for Clockwise to trigger events. Clockwise offers an option that prevents idle sleep (turn it on in the preferences), although that does not prevent user-induced sleep (closing the lid or choosing Sleep from the Apple menu).Clockwise supports action plugins. If you're familiar with mac programming be sure to read the help pages in order to get started. One last note: Clockwise is meant to be useful. What's New
The first update to everyone's favorite alarm clock app is here. Enjoy!New: - Smart folders! To add a smart folder click and hold the + button just like you would do to add a folder, but instead select "Add Smart Folder...". A smart folder is defined by a set of rules and contains any event that fulfills those rules - Events which have errors now show a button on the events list - Clockwise now keeps your mac awake when there is at least one enabled Alarm or Timer event (you can toggle this option in the preferences)Changed: - Completely redesigned preferences window - More options concerning timers: you can now add timers that fire "every 15 minutes from 16pm to 18pm", for example - Improved text markers, with some new ones such as [date:short] and [time:long], which use your System Preferences settings to format the date or time to your localization - Due to sandboxing issues, the functionality of the "Screensaver control" action is now implemented with three scripts that come bundled with Clockwise and can be used with the "Run user script" actionLast, but not least, this update fixes various small problems and squashes some bugs. Always a good thing!
