Description:Hexels is a new kind of art tool based on patterns and tessellations instead of pixels. Use it to create beautiful works of art, hex-based maps for games, or anything in between. Start with the default hexagons and experience a cool new way of drawing. Switching shape modes lets you work with multiple shapes, as well as a choice of several different "glow" overlay styles, a wide range of art styles is possible. The free version of Hexels features the following:
• A totally new way of creating art.
• Standard hexel shape mode plus 6 bonus shape modes - Brixels, Crystals, Circles, Wiggles, Diagonal, and Zeez
• Import background images for reference or compositing
• Standard glow map and the Hex, Target, and Triangle glow maps.
• Export .png files up to 1280x1280

Version 1.2.0:
This is our biggest update so far! Add more style to your artwork with texturing and halftone mode. You can also sample the new Voronoi shape mode, which lets you smoothly blend between a variety of shapes. Not sure how to achieve a particular effect? The new Examples library lets you load and edit a wide range of pre-made Hexels files.
