Zippersnapper 1.2.2
Device: Mac OS
Category: Utilities
Price: $2.99, Version: 1.2.1 -> 1.2.2 (iTunes)
Description:
Ever wonder why you can’t easily password protect a zip file on a Mac? So did we. Zippersnapper is the easiest way to zip your files with password protection, right from the Mac menu bar.
ZIP IT UP TIGHT
Easily drag individual files, or an entire folder of files and zip files with a password instantly. No fluffy stuff, just the absolute easiest way to zip files - securely protected with a password.
PORTABLE ANYWHERE
ZipperSnapper fills a need for creatives, freelancers, and others who need basic security for files, but need them to be openable by anyone they send them to. So you can send your Zip files to Windows users, too. Or post them to apps like Basecamp with abandon, confident that only the people on the project that you want to see your work-in-progress versions have access.
WORKS WITH WINDOWS
Please note: In order to make our Zip files compatible to Windows, we use the most standard Zip password protection. On some Windows unzipping apps, this means file and folder names are visible -- but, no matter what your recipient is using (Windows, Mac, you name it) the files within are utterly unopenable without the password.
What's New
Fixed lots of bugs to make ZipperSnapper even better.
- Once password is cleared, provide ability to regenerate another random one
- Fixed issues when creating bookmarks on older Mac versions (like 10.7)
- Zips are no longer overwritten when you save them with the same name: instead, a number is added to the end so that you never lose data.
- Fixed a bug where the Preferences window could not be closed.
