Taskdeck employs a simple structural model of lists and tasks, where related tasks are organized in lists. Within a list, tasks can be prioritized by simply dragging them up or down the list. Important stuff goes to the top, less important issues to the bottom of a list.
The carefully crafted user interface lets you quickly navigate between lists, capture tasks, prioritize or otherwise modify them (such as setting a due date), or check them off once completed. Tasks that are due or overdue are highlighted in yellow or red, respectively. Badges in the list view indicate the number of due or overdue tasks in a list.
Taskdeck can be used as a stand-alone task list app. It becomes so much more useful, however, when connected to Taskdeck Cloud. Taskdeck Cloud is the synchronization platform that lets you sync tasks across all your Macs and iOS devices (running Taskdeck for iOS). Once you have connected your device with Taskdeck Cloud, any changes, such as new or modified tasks, are synchronized to your other devices almost instantly. Connecting a device to Taskdeck Cloud is as simple as entering an email address and a password. A free 15-day Taskdeck Cloud sync trial is activated for newly created Taskdeck Cloud accounts. After this period, Taskdeck Cloud sync requires a paid subscription (available as an in-app purchase in Taskdeck for iOS).
