Description:
Pilot eLog is a feature-rich electronic logbook for pilots. It is user-friendly and intuitive, keeping the familiar look & feel of paper logbooks.
Your logbook information is visible directly on the main screen without having to drill through countless other screens or menus. The top half of the screen shows your most recent entries -- just like a paper logbook. The lower section provides summary totals and currency information. The currency and date expirations are clearly color-coded and visually alert you well in advance of expiration without the need for any annoying pop-up windows.
Pilot eLog includes multiple features such as 12 aircraft categories to log flight time against and the ability to add custom categories. All custom features are activated from within the Preferences screen. Logbooks can be exported for custom analysis.
Total flight time can be recorded using either Hobbs Start/Stop time or by direct entry. Log entries incorporate extensive error checking to keep logs accurate. Accelerator keys make data entry fast and painless. The system automatically tracks Day, Night and Instrument currency and keeps this information visible on the main screen at all times. It also automatically captures High Performance, Complex and Tailwheel time based on the type of aircraft flown. Additionally, users can track time against an unlimited number of custom parameters and type ratings, all while keeping the user interface simple and user friendly.
Pilots can begin their logbooks from any point in time, record historical totals, then begin using Pilot eLog from that point forward. Recording a new endorsement, rating or BFR check ride automatically updates the BFR expiration information. Other features include 17 professionally designed reports and endorsements, complete text to many logbook-related FAR's, links to both the FAA and FAR reference sites, and immediate viewing of day, night and instrument currency plus BFR and medical expiration dates.
For security, logbook data is stored locally on the pilot’s computer, not someone else’s server. Built-in backup and restore functions ensure long-term data integrity.
Pilot eLog also includes an optional Military feature to allow tracking of currency specific to Apache flight operations (per the request of Apache flight crews overseas). Currency calculations include Front Seat, Back Seat, Night Vision Systems, Night Vision Goggles and Hood time.
Additional information is available on the company’s web site.
